If the  tragedy at VT isn't a call to  realism, there won't be one.  How many people have to die to prove that people kill people and guns are one of the primary means.  

Regardless of one's feelings about "sacred freedoms" like the second amendment, the higher freedom is simply the right to live without fear that others may kill me.  Why allow weapons when they only make things much worse?

Stop the hypocrisy.  The weapons used in this massacre are precise demonstrations that people should come first.  "Privileges" should be second.    

This horror is a shot heard around the world.  Can we HEAR it?

 My sympathies go out to the people affected by this awful act of violence. Obviously there are anti-gun folks who are only worried about seizing this opportunity. Unfortunately, if one is crazy enough to want to kill people they could drive a van into a crowd, same tragic result; different means.

 As far as licensing guns I don't think thugs and nutcases would bother.
