This is a site devoted to Virginia Tech athletics as part of Sports Blogs Nation. The site was on hiatus until the upcoming football season, but because of the tragic events of April 16, 2007, we at Sports Blog nation wish to let all Virginia Tech students, alumni, family and fans know you are all in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.

shooter

what ethnicity and religion was the shooter?  the liberal PC media won't release it like it's a cover up or something.  if it was a white guy, all of his info would have been released immediately.  wake up virginia tech students.  this is time to get ANGRY!!!  this is time to broadcast the facts to the world.  don't be suppressed by the government-media complex.  SPEAK OUT!!!

Well Done Va. Tech

In the face of this terrible tragedy Va. Tech Community has demonstrated commendable strength and solidarity. In the time crises, when stereotypes are reinforced and blame games could have gone unabated, Blacksburg community came together a message of peace and unity. Representatives from every faith in the community- Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, and others came together in an admirable show of unity. They made best of the worst times to show how we could all come together to confront terrorism, violence, and unprovoked acts of aggression. May God rest the souls of the departed in peace and strengthen the resolve of their friends, family, and colleagues in facing up to the menace of intolerance around the world.

Sincerely,
Prakash Kashwan

condolences

Just wanted to express my sincerest condolences & sympathy to the Hokie Nation.  I cannot imagine the anger, fear, and sadness felt by each member of your community.  I will pray for each & everyone of you on this tragic day in VT & US history.  May God comfort and provide strength to all involved in this horrific tragedy caused by a very selfish & sick individual(s).

Do you need a friend right now?

I've joined this site simply to say I care deeply about the losses, personally and beyond, that the April 16th massacre involve.

I have done a lot of counseling.  If you need someone to "talk to", please feel free to write me.  We can make it more private simply by using my email address.  Everything will be strictly confidential and seen  only by me.

There are no answers for the "Why?" questions, but there  are aids for the pain.  Basically they are:

  1.  HANG ON - Others deeply care. I do.  God does.

  2.  HOPE FOR TOMORROW  The pain will gradually be bearable.

  3.  HUG YOURSELF AND OTHERS.  I call those "paychecks" which we can offer to each other just to show we care.

I believe God did NOT want this to have happened.  God cries when we cry (and laughs when we laugh).  God wants the best for us and will help us get through the roughest times in our lives.  WE ARE NEVER ALONE.  God is with us always!

I hope to hear from you soon.  Say anything in any way, just talk to me.

I am WITH YOU (wy) IN YOUR JOURNEY,

Harold
